By Cole Ingraham 10 months ago

Earth Aid is proud to announce a partnership with the City of Miami, Home Depot, and Dream-in-Green to launch the Home Energy Saver Challenge in Miami, Florida. Earth Aid has been selected as the platform to allow Challenge participants to easily track online their water, gas, and electric usage. The first 50 full-time city of Miami residents that apply to the program and complete a workshop on how to reduce your utility bills and protect the environment will receive a $150 voucher to Home Depot. This voucher will allow City of Miami residents to purchase energy and water efficient products, such as CFL light bulbs or programmable thermostats, to help their household become more environmentally friendly. Through the Earth Aid system, participants will also be able to track online their utility usage and receive personalized tips to reduce their carbon footprint.

If you live in the city of Miami and want to participate in the pilot program check out the Dream-in-Green website to sign up.

If you are not a resident of Miami, but still want to get in on the action, you can become an Earth Aid member and start tracking your energy usage, receive tips on how to save, and earn rewards points for your energy savings by going here. Or you can also help build a Rewards Network in your area by recruiting businesses. If you would like to take it one step further and organize a Home Energy Saver Challenge in your area, go ahead and contact us and we'll work with you to make that happen.
