Earth Aid Rewards Network Launched in Shreveport, LA

By Cole Ingraham 9 months ago

Last Tuesday, Earth Aid officially launched another Rewards Network, this time in Shreveport, Lousisiana. The launch event was held at Herby K's, one of our Shreveport Rewards Partners, and an establishment where the owners have taken excellent steps to make it a greener, and more environmentally friendly business in Shreveport, LA.

While we have Earth Aid Rewards Partners located all over the United States, from Washington, D.C., to Philadelphia, New York, Santa Cruz (and more), this was exciting for us because it represented our second big city launch. For Earth Aid, this represented a partnership with yet another large city, a partnership with the City of Shreveport and Mayor Cedric Glover, Shreveport Green, as well as our first major utility partnership with the South Western Electric Power Company (SWEPCO).

The SWEPCO partnership is particularly exciting for us for several reasons. First, it is Earth Aid's first partnership with a utility, and there are several excellent developments as a result. SWEPCO is giving away a tree to the first 300 households in Shreveport that sign up for Earth Aid. They are also offering 100 trees that can be redeemed for 75 Earth Aid Rewards Points as an incentive to save for households in the Shreveport area and help to further green the Shreveport area.

In addition, partnering and working with various organizations in Shreveport, and in particular the City of Shreveport, Shreveport Green, and SWEPCO was great for Earth Aid because we were able to make so many great connections at the local level with people who were truly excited to bring the Earth Aid Rewards Network to Shreveport. At Earth Aid we have great appreciation for Matt Bailey and Gwen Campbell with the City of Shreveport, Kacee Kirschvink from SWEPCO, and Donna Curtis from Shreveport Green, all of whom worked very hard to make sure that the launch not only happened but was a success as well.

Create an Earth Aid account to start receiving tips on how to save and earn points to redeem them for Rewards. If you own or run a business in Shreveport (or anywhere in the country for that matter) and want to become an Earth Aid Rewards Partner, all you have to do is go here and register your Rewards offer. There's no fee to become a Rewards Partner, and in addition to helping encourage people to save energy and your local environment, you'll also be attracting new green consumers through the Earth Aid Network.

I decided to join earthaid.com after I was told about it in my Environmental Science class by one of my classmates, Kathy Reedy of Shreveport. Since taking this c lass, I have decided to be more conscious of what is taking place to help take care of the environment and to conserve energy.

I don't think it is possible to redeem points as i live in India but I would create an account just for the tips.
